Last night, I went with my friends downtown to attend a bridal shower. I was so drunk that I forgot to return my mom s sandals that I borrowed the day before. Earlier this morning, I was so shocked to see that one of its pair was broken; its heels was torn apart. I asked my friends how this happened and they told me I ran from the party and since I was too drunk, I tripped on the sidewalk of the building where the event took place. I m so nervous now. How do I tell my mom about it? Should I just lie? I know she ll be very mad since the sandals were handmade in a foreign country, which a friend gave her as a gift on her birthday. Help!
